Freelance Video Editor
Happy Mammoth is a fast-growing natural food tech business selling across Australia, Europe, and the United States. We specialize in formulating, producing and marketing gut, digestive, and microbiome health foods and natural supplements, designed to help our clients make long-lasting positive health changes and start living very full lives again.
We are looking for an experienced and creative Freelance Video Editor to collaborate with us on special freelance projects. In this role, you’ll edit editorial and branded content for both organic and paid social media campaigns, crafting engaging videos across platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
You’ll work with a mix of original footage shot by our in-house producers and content creators, as well as UGC content, bringing stories to life with your editing skills. Some projects will also involve working on longer video formats such as VSLs and YouTube ads, where you’ll be sourcing and editing B-roll to deliver compelling narratives.
Our ideal candidate has strong technical skills and excellent creative instincts. They love collaborating with others to come up with the best content possible, but they’re also capable of working independently and efficiently. They’re someone who’s adaptable, driven, and excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced company.

- Although the role is remote, the candidate must be available during EU hours (GMT)
Responsibilities
- Your goal will be to edit highly engaging, entertaining, visually fresh content that excites our existing followers and attracts new ones.
- Receiving and addressing feedback on edits.
- Managing multiple freelance projects simultaneously (if needed) and meeting deadlines to deliver videos as scheduled.
- Working closely with analytics — using them to develop best practices and help build a loyal, highly engaged audience of rabid fans for our brand.
- Keeping performance goals top of mind, and making sure you hit or exceed them.
- Staying up to date with current market and social media trends.
Qualifications
- Excellent video editing skills.
- Familiarity with social media trends or viral topics.
- Experience with content that’s social-first around themes such as health + fitness, and supplements is a plus.
- Strong creative instincts and abilities when it comes to enhancing video footage, including color correction/grading and sound mixing.
- An understanding of how business and creative can work together, and how things like ad sales contribute to your ability to make great content.
- Good editorial judgment, taste, understanding of quality, authority, popularity, and topic diversity for video content.
- Proficient with YouTube/TikTok/Instagram/FB and other video platforms
- Understanding of the DTC environment and needs.
- Empathy for our target audience in order to be able to convey the right emotions in your videos.
